No, of course not; patterns and most of the articles are timeless, so it doesn't matter when you get them. In fact, one of the first things I did after I joined, was to get as many back years of the Bulletin as were available for purchase.
But I wasn't altogether happy, that first year, to find out that there *had been* lace events in my vicinity which I had missed by just a few weeks. There weren't all that many of those (still aren't), given the size of the country. It's bad enough that some of the groups don't post their announcements till fairly late and, with the Bulletin appearing only 4 times a year, you learn about things at the last minute and have to make decisions "on the fly". To learn about things *just* gone by is rubbing salt into the wounds :)
