Dear friends,
Thank you sooooo very much Avital and Kathleen, for finding my lost verse, 'The Faith that moved a Mountain' by Patience Strong, and so quickly, I am really very grateful. Try as I might, I could not remember it, just a line here and there, I wish I had thought of asking for help so much earlier now, but I have definitely added 'Old Poems/Essays' to my 'favourites', just in case there is a next time. My New Year did not start well, with my Mother dying so terribly of the same mouth and head cancer, that I have had three times, which many of you will remember, that was just before Christmas, and then before I had time to grieve, my husband suddenly became very ill and for 9 weeks we knew the diagnosis would not be good, and it turned out to be Follicular Lymphoma cancer, however he has recently completed his 6th chemo, and is now in remission, and is doing really well, whilst I was on morphine refusing to have a total hip replacement until my husband was well under way of treatment. Now what a difference a few months make, I have had my total hip replaced and it is like magic again to walk in less than 8 weeks, and I feel so lucky, as life could have been so much worse. My apologies for not replying immediately, but I have been camping out in my son and daughter in law's apt; (they have moved to Seattle, Washington, America. permanently), and yes I do miss them very much, so I have been there for a couple of days, and I will go again next week, just for a couple of days, before handing over the keys to the new owners, sadly the apt; now has no Internet connection, I couldn't reply until we arrived back home again this evening. Thank you again, Kindest regards, Pauline in Somerset.
