Hi everyone Thank you to Bev in Canada for kindly running Arachne Secret Pals for the last 3 rounds - it has been great fun! I am standing in this time round to help out so we can keep it going so here we go!!
Time to announce the next Arachne Secret Pals round - an opportunity to send interesting and inexpensive presents to a "secret lace pal". Each round is a six-month commitment with each participant sending one package per month to their assigned pal "in secret" for the surprise factor, although it must be noted that parcel do need a a return address and, if being sent out of the country, a customs declaration. To help with your choice of gift(s) it is suggested that the total value is 10 units of your country's currency. Suggestions of items to include can include bobbins, thread, postcards and small treats and souvenirs from where you live. To clarify - you send a package and you also receive a package. If you would like to take part and if you know without a doubt that you can send one package a month for the next six months (starting January 2009), please email a message to me so that I may co-ordinate the replies. Once I hear from you, I will send the rules to you along with some questions to help me with the pairing of pals. This round will start as of January 5, when the first package is to be mailed, and will go through to June 5, which will be the last mailing and you will then reveal who you are to your secret pal. Please let me know asap if you would like to take part - but no later than 30 November so that I can assign pals and give you some time before Christmas to sort your first mailing!
