Hello Fellow Lacemakers, After telling my friend Dee Palin in Warwickshire about my fruitless search to track down a book I am desperate to get hold of she suggested that I might ask the members of Arachne for help as there might just be someone out there who can help me. I have become interested in the Slanting half stitch of the 's Gravenmoerse lace and would very much like to purchase a book that was published in 2002 by LOKK, the Dutch Lace Organisation namely " KANT UIT VLAANDEREN EN 'S GRAVENMOER". I know that this hard backed book, printed in three languages, has been out of print and unavailable for some time but am just hoping that someone has it on their bookshelf and might be prepared to let me buy it if they no longer have use for it. (We all buy books and after the initial interest they are consigned to the bookshelf, often never to be looked at again and maybe someone bought this one with the usual good intent which didn't materialise onto the lace pillow!!!). I would prefer a copy in good condition if possible. The cover of the book shows several pictures - a canal scene, a fan, a piece of lace worked from a pricking in the book, bobbins, a bonnet and a lace pillow all on a mauve coloured background, together with the title and De Shuine Netslag. I understand the latter to mean The Slanting Half Stitch. If anyone is able to help me would they contact me directly please. Fingers crossed and many thanks for reading my email. Kindest regards, Sue Eddy. Cornwall, UK Â
