I've done that too! I bought a pair of navy Clark's shoes and found them so
comfortable I bought a black pair too. I can't remember where I wore the
mixed pair, probably to work.
We have an extrovert member of our needle arts' guild here in northern
Illinois who buys all shoes in two colours and deliberately mixes them - one
pink, on purple or one turquoise and one orange. everyone knows Alice!!
(who's white hair is also dyed at the front in colours which the shoes then
match)
