Thank you for all your suggestions. I have put the correction fluid on several pieces of cloth, thanks for that suggestion. I am assuming that it wasn't the water based stuff as I had a terrible job getting it off my hands. Now I need to see if I can find some tippex thinner. The nail varnish remover I thought of first definitely didn't work!
