All that fuss I made about having to inject myself! Last week I had a lesson in how to do it, with the practitioner doing the actual injection. Today I did it myself under supervision. Why did I make such a fuss about doing it? I didn't hesitate. I didn't feel the needle or the liquid going into my flesh. I do one more supervised next week just to make sure - I did make the mistake of putting my thumb over the plunger before inserting the needle l though I didn't press it and I wiped the cotton wool ball over the injection site afterwards instead of just a dab to make sure there was no liquid on the skin. I've now got a yellow stain about an inch across.

Thanks to all of you who gave advice and encouraged me - it really did help.

If anyone else finds themselves in the position of worrying about having to self-inject, there's nothing to it. I can be smug and say that now.

Again thanks.
