Got a reply from Smile, which is supposed to answer my question on why there
are no folders or captions.

The system replaces your original title with the file name your photos and
videos have used while being stored on site. We're sorry for any
inconvenience this may cause. As long as your photos and videos are stored
on Webshots, you can reference the site to copy any additional information
you may have recorded there.
