I can't see how much thread is on the reel because it is in a photo-film canister from the last century. I guess now with digital cameras we forgot already what it looks like.
Those air-tight film cannisters were the *handiest* things! I designed a complete sewing kit to fit in one, wedged in so things wouldn't rattle and the threads wouldn't tangle. It's still in the emergency-tools kit of my bicycle. And there's a film cannister of deodorant powder in the little bag of stuff I throw into my suitcase when I travel. Pill bottles are also a handy size, but every last one now features a grandma-proof cap that you can't be sure is sealed properly. -- Joy Beeson http://joybeeson.home.comcast.net/ http://roughsewing.home.comcast.net/ west of Fort Wayne, Indiana, U.S.A. where the sun is shining but nothing is melting.
