I participate in the monthly charity auctions - Your Donation Counts -
on uk.eBid.net
and this month we're raising funds to help a local school to me here in
Newtown, Powys, UK
buy a Defibrillator to keep on the school premises. The approx. cost
for one is around £800-£1000.
Did you know that there is a rising incidence of heart attacks in
children and the nearest A&E dept.
for Newtown is over an hours drive away in Shrewsbury. We only have a
MIU here that is based
at the local Surgery and only open 9-5 M-F :(
The YDC auctions run from 24-28th each month and there's usually 150-200
items listed from the UK,
USA & Australia - and sometimes from other countries inbetween. Quite a
few are up already although
any bidding cannot start until 24th :)
