Don't forget the Lucy Locket rhyme
"Lucy locket lost her pocket,
Kitty fisher found it;
There was not a penny in it,
Only ribbon round it."
Because both Lucy Locket & Kitty Fisher were real people. There are
several portraits of Kitty Fisher around - she had odd coloured eyes
hence name for the bottom bead with odd coloured spots used on
spangles.
But the chant I loved the most as child was
"Algy met a bear
A bear met Algy
The bear was bulgy
The Bulge was Algy!"
The last line should be said with menace!
I still enjoy enjoy reading thrillers!
