I'm listening. I am using the Southard book to learn as well because I have no local lace friends. Lorelei forgets to mention the marvelous support that the internet provides today--equipment, patterns, books and virtual community. The book AND the list have been very helpful for this beginner. I have gotten answers to my questions and have even managed to hook up with some lace makers not too far away. (Thanks, Kim!)
