Having read your e-mail, especially about membership being free, and

never joined before!

I got my advert yesterday; didn't pay much attention, since I don't know how to buy anything on line... I, too, don't remember ever joining (did join the Dover one), but figured it was the fault of my *memory*... :) With Ann's posting I wonder if, perhaps, one became a "member" automatically when one bought books directly from (old, pre-Chrysalis) Batsford? I did, a couple of times, some 10 yrs ago, and was put on the Batsford's s-mailing list. Which, I assume, Chrysalis bought with everything else, since I've been getting their mailings... I don't *think* I bought any books directly from them since the changeover, but I can't swear to it, and the newer order forms do have a space for one's e-address... But, even if I hadn't filled it out, given the name and s-mail, I don't think it would be all that hard to find the e- (if the people selling Russian brides can do it... <g>)
