> Please, please, please, take many, many pictures in excruciatingly fine detail and post them somewhere. It would be wonderful if the seller has any idea where it came from and who made it. I suspect the lacemaker has passed away with no family and her lace found its way into the hands of a lace heathen. Also, from the picture, it looks like it may need to be re-framed with air space between the glass and the lace. Let it live a long time. > Well, aren't you just in luck! A month ago, I didn't have a camera other than the little disposable ones (not too good). But, I have a spanking new, all the bells and whistles, 5 megapixel digital camera! As an experiment, I've pointed it the blue jeans I was wearing and snapped a picture. Zooming in on the picture (after it was taken) I can blow it up so that the individual threads look about 1/4 each. The camera was bought with the idea of taking detailed pictures of textiles (esp. in the V&A) in London, for study when I get home.
I'll let y'all know when I get it, and post pictures as soon as I can. Pam Dotson Everett, WA USA - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED]
