Has anyone seen the needlelace that is on the cover of the latest IOLI
bulletin? It is muticolored and absolutely beautiful. I would like to do
something similar with point ground. Does anyone out there know anything
about polychrome lace?

My first thought, when I saw that piece was "Courseulles" and only the second look made me realise that no, it wasn't BL at all...

There's a book, "Dentelles Normandes; Polychrome de Courseulles" by Claudette & Michel Bouvot (ISBN 2-9517080-0-9) Don't know its current availability; it was published in June od '01, it says the edition was limited to 100 copies (and mine was numbered 895). It's not listed in the current Fay catalogue, which is where I think I got mine from. The companion translation of it (separate booklet, text only) was done by Pompi Parry.

Ms Parry will be teaching a class on de Courseulles in Ithaca (Oct 11,12,13), which is the reason why I'm trying to figure out how to stretch the dollars, when all they want to do is shrink :)

Aditionally, Lia Baumeister has been teaching coloured Chantilly for several years. At this year's Convention she's listed as teaching Chantilly at all levels, and colour is an option.

Have not seen any of the coloured Chantilly, so cannot say what it's like vis: texture. De Courseulles is not *quite* as 3-D as the NL piece (isn't it *spectacular*?) on the cover of the Bulletin, nor does it have *quite* the vartiety of stitches, but it's a pretty close runner (IMO)...
