This is one of the patterns that is on my 'to do' list as well. I've had another look at it and I should think that 5 or 10% should be enough. If you enlarge it too much, and still use the basic 30 cotton, the risk is that the more widely spaced areas will become too flimsy. it is a very elegant design.
For those who do not know what logarithmic lace is, it is usually torchon lace plotted on a logarithmic graph paper which gives holes which vary in distance one to the next.
