You are right, Tamara, Punto Fiandra di Gorizia is not Flanders. They call the flander stitch the ribbon formed with 3 pairs of bobbins. We can say that the ribbon curls on itself like in the Bruges flower technique but the ribbon is a lot finer and the joins are made differently. May be the association Bruges-Flanders can explain the name given to that stitch.
