The book "The Laces of Ipswich" is about the only real 'hand-made lace industry' we have had in this country - this lasted from 1750 - 1840. It is a new book written by Marta Cotterell Raffel, ISBN 1-58465-163-6. It would be very interesting to know what other items cost during this same period.
