I have not seen any replies from Kiwis on this one! I expect they are all huddling over their fires warming their fingers enough to make lace! Oh well - its August now and warmer weather will soon be here!
Ann from Manchester (I think it was!) has made my feel most guilty! Like Ann I am making three tablecloths for my children. I am working on number two at present, started last September and am on the third round now. I started the first one some years before I finished work in 1997 and finished it just before I started the current one. At the present rate of progress number three will be started in about 2010! I do get side tracked into doing other projects, have just finished a Valenciennes edging for a hanky to present to my sister when she comes from Guernsey later this year. But I am trying earnestly to keep my nose down and get through these clothes before I become too old and decrepit to handle anything else! Why did I ever decide to do them? Well now I am nearly half way through I must finish them.
