However the convention is not just workshops, there's also an exhibition and suppliers. Although I'm not a member of the ALG I went last year and bought a day ticket for Saturday's events (excluding the business meeting which of course is members only) and for the dinner. I had a great time, meeting friends old and new. In fact, I planned my entire itinerary around Australia in order to be in Adelaide on that Saturday. So the convention is of interest to non-members too. The key here is join the lace organisation in your country.
