Make that a packet of 10 tiles from B&Q - they don't sell them singly as I discovered. Or you could use a cork bath mat, or cork wall or floor tiles (again only in packets). Or a piece of polystyrene from packaging - go to your nearest civic amenity site (local authority rubbish site) and ask the men there if they have any polystyrene from packaging. It's free and clean and is often high density.
