I usually pre-prick on a cork-board; the styrofoam drives me nuts with the squeaky sound :) Never pre-pricked right on the pillow, even one made of "natural" ingredients (where I was less worried about the deterioration of the fill) until this last class with Loehr. On this project, I pre-prick one triangle at a time as I come to it, which is what she advised, but still wish I had had the pricking ahead of time to fix it the way I like best...
