While I'm most interested in making lace, I enjoy knowing a little about the people who made it, it makes the craft come more alive. I agree with Jeri that we should keep information about our "big names" - and the Lace Guild was trying to do this, publishing interviews in the Lace magazine. But sometimes I wonder, what was Miss Channer really like, and Thomas Lester - all those fabulous designs! and so on.
