On a more serious note, this is one of he problems when making a lacemaker doll. I made one a few years ago and got a lot of David Springett's miniature bobbins, just before they gave up, I think. They are beautifully carves and decorated, but apart from the two at the end of the row, ( blue chipped bone) you can't see them. Perhaps I should turn the pillow around.
