Patty, I don't know if you want me to give you a small net or not, so if not,
don't read on but the cuff that you are working on ( which I am also working on from Holly's
class) is featured on the paper cover of Pamela Nottingham's book " Bedfordshire
Lacemaking"
How far have you gotten? Merlene in Denver CO
Hi Merlene,
Good to hear from you,
Yeah, well I never got a good look at that picture. While serviceable and portable, my snare drum stand as lace table was a little too precarious in that crowded room to worm my way back to wherever it was. And I don't think that book is in print any longer. sigh . . .
I have reached the halfway mark so I can start thinking about reversing everything I've figured out so far and I am half way through the central flower. I am dying to see this whole. There are about a hundred things I would change, now that I have gotten this far, but you can't back up forever (I did the first leaf twice already and began the flower at least three times - all that floral stuff! and I finally figured where to put the nook pins).
How are you doing on yours? Do you think when we finish, that our two cuffs would look enough alike that we could make a set and both of us not have to make another one?!? LOL!! Really, I am planning to make a little ascot thing and gently gather the straight edge and attach it.
I AM enjoying this, don't get me wrong, but it's been REAL different.
