This made me think of when I first learnt to make lace. Not being held back by any fear I was going full guns at it.
I was engaged and due to married shortly (before you ask it didn't happen in the end for which I will be eternally thankful) ... sorry, digression .... anyway I was due to get married and one of the ladies at my lace group suggested that I should make a honiton lace bee to sew into the petticotes of my dress as a symbol of being a lacemaker. My dear teacher turned round and said - 'oh no, it would take her years to learn to make honiton lace - no point' (now you can see why we parted company) I left the lace tutor group shortly after and made my first piece of honiton only a few months later. Still not married, and still no bee. -- Regards Liz Beecher I'm blogging now - see what it's all about - To unsubscribe send email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] containing the line: unsubscribe lace [EMAIL PROTECTED] For help, write to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
