Hi All,
The book published by OIDFA on 'Point Ground Lace' gives details of the few differences in Chantilly and Bayeux. While Chantilly seems only to have used silk, white and cream are known as well as the usual black, Bayeux used cotton, linen and silk, not all together. The other differences seem to be in the number of twists in the head or footside and the picots. A very close study would be needed to positively identify an old piece, but that book has all of the answers.
