Reading all the message about Ithaca, I thought to inform you about the LOKK Festival held the 27th of September this year.
The LOKK, the Dutch Lace Organisation, was founded 25 years ago. Therefore they organised a lot of activities. On the 27th of September a Lace Festival was organised in Maarn. There were lace activities all of the building. In the big sportshall all every lace group in the Netherlands represented themselves. Also our lacegroup was present. We had worked very hard in publish a booklet with our own designs. In the smaller rooms there were several exhibitions. In one were hats exhibited, in a other miniature dollhouses. There was an exhibition of the collection of the LOKK. In collection there are several beautifull antique laces. There was also an exhibition of designs published in the book "Kant met een zilveren randje", translated Lace with a silver shine around. Of course there was a vendors room. Also 3 lectures were given. I attended only one about the specific frysian hats. It was a great fun to be there and see all that lace and all the people involved in lace.
