Just looked at the pictures of the LOKK Festival. The dress of leaves
caught my eye. Would anyone involved in making this dress give us
the story on this dress and how it was made. Tell us about the making
of the leaves, what thread was used, etc. It looks like gold thread but
most gold thread is hard to work with. The picture was not clear and
I couldn't tell if the leaves were "lace" leaves or possibly just gold leaf,
leaves.

I was not involved in making the dress, but I know that the leaves were made by several people all over the country. The different patterns of the leaves were published in the "Kantbrief", the magazine of the LOKK. The LOKK asked her members to make one or more leaves to combine in a piece. Everyone thought it would become a tree or something like that. It became a dress with some accessories. The leaves were mounted to the shiny fabric. I don't think there were leaves made of gold thread, but perhaps of metallic thread of a gold color. All leaves used were "lace" leaves.
Of course I made the photo smaller on my website in order to decrease the loading time of the page. I will put a link to a bigger photo behind it.
