Hi All! I’m Bianca, a new Arachnid from Italy.. Hope to be useful in some way. ‘My field’ is ‘needle lace’ but I’m not an expert. Studying needle lace (Aemilia Ars in Bologna) I met Elisa Ricci and now the life of E.R and obviously lace history in the first years of ‘900 is more important in my mind. I’m very interested to other lace-experts, for example Carolina Amari ( you know that with Florence Colgate she founded a lace school in New York ), and to all american women who collected italian lace (E.R. wrote somewhere they were a little bit ‘crazy’ because they spent too much money to buy italian laces…). I asked to some editors for reprinting E.R.’s books. All of them replied: too difficult, too money… but now, with ‘Old Italian Lace’ on the Web I’m very very happy and, again, I thank Tess and Prof.Ralph E.Griswold. They work for all of us.
