Tra-La-La!

Dear Lacemakers,

I am singing! I am singing!

It is so nice to see that IOLI has an ad in the November/December 2003 issue
of "PieceWork" - page 74. Have I missed previous ads? Think not. If this is
the first - my thanks to whomever has provided this to IOLI. The magazine's
address is:

http://www.interweave.com

"PieceWork" is a 10-years-old magazine available by subscription, at
newsstands, and bookstores in North America. It reaches people who may not use
computers, and may not know that lacemakers are actually "organized".

Many times, we meet people who are amazed that lace is still being made.
Such pleasant news is not readily available. People do not give lace much
thought, until they see a demonstration, and we are spread quite thin - there are
few of us to get around to the events where it is possible to demonstrate.

Seems a good time to note that just before writing this "song" message, I
checked the IOLI web site, http://www.internationaloldlacers.org. It is again
operational. New news to me is the convention location scheduled for 2007.

2004 - Harrisburg, Pennsylvania
2005 - Denver, Colorado
2006 - Montreal, Quebec, Canada
2007 - Tulsa, Oklahoma

It is not too soon to cultivate friendships with bi-lingual French/English
lacemakers who plan to go to IOLI Convention in Montreal!
