People who have been making use of Tess and the professor's invaluable collection of lace books ( http://www.cs.arizona.edu/patterns/weaving/lace.html ) will recognize the name as the author of "Seven Centuries of Lace." I have just realized that this magnificient work is effectively an illustrated catalog of her own private collection! Devon thinks she was an Australian and that her collection is still in Australia, possibly at the Powerhouse Museum. Can anyone on Arachne offer some information on the subject?
