Thanks to those of you who recommended Brenda Paternoster's book on thread conversions! I have ordered it but have no idea when it's going to arrive. Probably not today, & I am wanting to start a new lace project, so could someone please help me? Like I said in my initial posting, I have all sizes of tatting threads. Would any tatting threads be comparable to Fil a Dentelle? Also, I have a pattern calling for Mez Effektgarn fine metallic thread. I have several skeins of DMC metallic floss & am wondering if a strand or two of this would be an appropriate substitute?
