I have a few glass bobbins. I have found that they slow me down when I use them. (not that I am fast anyway) Living in Colorado where it is dry causes my hands to be very dry and the glass bobbins slip out of my fingers when I try to move them. I would need to rough them up a bit before I could use them, and that would ruin the design on most or apply something that would give them a tackier feel . I just choose not to use them. So consequently I am not buying more. I put a double hitch on the thread at the head and the thread did not slip.
