This is a brilliant winder if you really need to do a lot of bobbins. It is the Medcalfe winder with the motor used an adaptation of an aquarium pump, so it is stable and very quiet. There is usually a 'sock' into which a spangle can be placed to protect it. A foam toe cushion does the job. At the present price well worth considering although the postage will be quite high as the motor is fairly heavy.

is, but I assume that as he's in the UK, it's 220-240 volts.
