Dear Rieko, Are you pre-pricking your pattern? If you are using pricking card or card stock, you will need a larger needle in your pricker. The hole in the pattern should be as large, but not larger, than the supporting pin.
If you're using a paper pattern with contact paper and are pushing the pins through without pre-pricking, no wonder why your finger is sore!
