Dear Liz,

somewhat behind with my digest, I hope my translation still can be helpful
for you:

1) Dreher oder einzelnes Paar: twisted pair (ttt...) or single pair

2) Flechter: plait ctctct...

3) ehm, I have to look up this one. It's not the same as venetian plait,
which is "Venezianischer Flechter" in german.
still, it's something quite simple, and I know I explained it while
translating some of the butterfly patterns.
btw: my translation is a private effort, to help other lacemaking friends.
Everybody who bought the book is free to use my clumsy translation - I doubt
Ulrike Loehr would dislike it, but I will ask her at the next opportunity (may
2004 ;-) ).

4) "mock plait": Imitation of a real plait by twisting a pair uitable
numbers of twists to fill a gap, sew it into the already finished part of lace and
work back agin by *tt- sew around the twists*, repeating from * to * as
often as neccessary.

5) gemogelter Dreher: "mock twisted pair" - don't know what it meaning is in
this context, i don't have this book
5) Kreuzknoten: reef knot. could it be that a reef knot should replace a
simply twisted pair for security?

Late, maybe not too late?
And I'll check the Prinzeschlag
