There are lots of beautiful bookmarks out there, and I have seen and made many. My favorite was one by Alison Dews, (who has many unique patterns), and it inspired me to try designing some of my own. Anyway, bookmarks are fun, quick, can be done in beautiful colors, and end without joins :-) Most of the lace publications print bookmarks periodically, and most of the beginning lace books have a few too. They keep the "fingers in tune" and make wonderful gifts!
