Hi All, I always learn something when I read what others have learned about teaching. I even have something to add on teaching BL - or learning it I should say. I learned using the "horror kit" which wasn't quite so bad when I bought it. I made the bandage and then a 6" (17cm) long 1" (2.5cm) wide piece of edging. The edging took me 6 hours. That's when I decided life is too short for me to continue with BL <G>. The pattern had fans and I used Pearl cotton (can't remember the size). I was using a book to figure it out so a teacher would shorten that time but it may give you an idea. I don't think that included winding the bobbins (not many).
Of course I think NL takes me that long but there's something about it...guess it's my "cup o' T" as Tamara says <G>. Jane in Vermont, USA where it's up to 32F (0C) and we all feel like it's Spring <VBG>.
