Hi Janice & spiders, I haven't seen the movie yet but I want to. I think the lace connection may have to do with the fact that it's about the painter Vermeer, who painted "The Lacemaker" as well as "The Girl in the Pearl Earring". (Vermeer is played by Colin Firth who is fast becoming one of my favorite actors....!)
