Vasna My understanding of Mirecourt lace is that it is a French lace somewhat like Bruges Bloomwork in that it is more coarse than Duchesse and simpler in design. But the pieces I've seen are not as simple as Bloomwork. I'm sending you a photo in a .jpg file in a 2nd email.
There is also a piece in the Milanese collection of patterns from CENTRE DE LA INITIATION DE DENTELLE DU PUY, one of a group of patterns sets which Lacis in California used to sell. I don't know any detail about exactly where or when it started to be made, other than roughly the very late 19th to early 20th century in France.
