Hi Sue, "Le mouchoir en dentelle de valenciennes", isn't really a "book", it is a these made in the 3th year of the "teacherscourse" in the Kantcentrum by Rosanna Orgiu and Elisabeth Dejonghe. It doesn't contain patterns, only history, and it is not translated in english. I do have this this thesis.
kind regards, Magda from cold Flanders The latest issue of Kant arrived here early last week. At the back a book is advertised called "Le Mouchoir en Dentelle de Valenciennes" by Orgu and Dejonghi. Has anyone seen this book? On the cover are two Valenciennes patterns, a hanky edging and an insertion; are these the only patterns in the book or are there several? Do they have working diagrams and prickings and is there an English translation. If anyone has seen this book and can answer my questions it would be appreciated. The book would cost about $NZ60 which is a lot to put out and then find there is nothing of interest in it!
