Hi Lynn - I think your best bet is to watch ebay. Save a search term that has the words lace and doll in it. You may find that this gives you way more than you wanted, so you can experiment and get more specific. A sample search string might be, "doll (lace, lacemaker)"
>From time-to-time, I've seen a very fine collector's doll which is handmade by a well-known dollmaker (I'm not a collector, so I can't remember who...) and it usually has a reserve of several hundred dollars. On the other end of the spectrum, you'll find plenty of the tourist type doll, made of plastic, about 4" high, with a pillow, bobbins, and lace in front of her. They're pretty crude, and all tend to be similar. You could get one of those for $10 or less.
