Hi everyone I had a look at the 'Antique Laceworking Tool' on ebay - it was probably used for *lacing* all right, and *lace working* but not *lacemaking*.
There are two rows of teeth, and the metal rods - there are machines used in industry called flexible belt lacing devices - used to 'lace' wide belts together.
