Kat stitch is the same as Paris ground stitch.  When it is used in small
sections of a Bucks point lace, it is called kat stitch.  When it is used in
Paris ground laces it is called Paris ground.  The clothwork in the two
forms is worked differently however, so Bucks point does not = Paris lace.
Look at the "identification" page of my website.  Under Paris lace you will
find a few very simple examples.  On the "revival" page you will find some
more complex ones.  Also on "identification" there is a hexagonal mat edging
in Bucks point which has kat stitch for two of the sides.
