Roslyn I recently had an opportunity to look at the book by Catherine Barley NEEDLELACE: DESIGNS & TECHNIQUES, CLASSIC & CONTEMPORARY, 1993. I think it is the best I've seen for a beginner, with believable and realistic projects which have curvilinear designs, but still aren't too difficult. I've done only enough needle lace myself so that I understand the method, but I don't count myself as a needle lace MAKER. Lorelei
