It is evident that things cannot be made late in night, when once feels tired and sleepy.
So, thank you Bjarne for informing me that the "lady" wearing a very nice lace collar was H. M. the Queen of Denmark, Marguerite.
I have NOW included too, the picture of the scale sailing ship that Camarias has given as wedding gift to the Prince Felipe. It's known the enthusiast that the Prince feels for nautical sports and the lace tradition of Camarias, fishing and lacing village.
For all who have asked about the Mantillas and Spanish combs wore by H.M. Spanish Queen Sofia and her daughter Elena:
"The mantilla was used by women in general as an evolution in fashion from cloth to lace, during 17th. cent.
It is in the 18th. cent. when the mantilla begin to be worn by aristocrats and royal court, and the Queen Elisabeth II (1833-1868) who really introduced the use of Spanish mantilla as ornament and wore it very often.
At her death, the fashion declined and now the Queen Sofia wear Spanish Mantilla in special occasions and the Andalusian women show off it, at Holy Week Processions."
Usually the mantilla is worked in blonde, chantilly or embroidered tulle.
The threads used: very very fine cotton or silk, some times two colors: gray and black.
White or ecru mantillas were worn only by young ladies and girls to go to church.
I hope that all this makes sense, I am not very good at English....
Thank you all for your interest and greetings from Barcelona.
