I'd like to second that on the group entry being magnificent, I was lucky enough to be able to talk to Pat on Friday at the Preview and again for longer on Saturday morning when she was kind enough to explain how the face was done, it was also fun studying the 'snakes' for the different types of lace used. All the lace shown is wonderful and there is so much to see, those pieces that there wasn't room for are featured in a folder which gives a tantalising glimpse of what we are missing through the lack of space to show them, there are also photos of many in the catalogue. I have yet to download the hundreds of photos I took, waiting until I become less laced-out!
Do try and get if you can, the museum/gallery is open everyday and it easy to find in the centre of Coventry just a few yards from the Cathedrals. My congratulations to all who entered, the judges had a difficult job in choosing the winners and awarding the Medals of Excellence. There is still one more prize to be awarded - the public prize, which visitors vote on, it took me ages to decide which one to vote for and I suspect if I went back again I'd vote for something different.
