That's exactly what the adult education class I attend did. The most experienced lacemaker did the mermaid, then the four of us who had nearly as much experience made the other creatures. Then four newcomers and our lady only able to use one hand in a limited manner due to cerebral palsy made seaweed. Two of the group didn't want to participate.
