At the present time, I'm thrilled to report that I have just finished the True Lover's Knot hanky edging for my daughter's wedding hanky - a year late (LOL) but guess it can be for a 1st Anniversary! Now I must attach it to the antique hanky that has a beautiful, shadow embroidered & drawn thread "A" for Andrea. I also have just finished an interesting test bookmark, designed by a good friend, which is really beautiful. It is a Tonder heart design worked in Bucks style, using 100 pale yellow silk with 30 gold silk for the gimp. (I won't tell the secret, Bev) I too have started on the Honiton trail and am now on the 4th pattern, Shell, from E. Luxton's book. In making plans for International Lace Camp, I decided to tackle Honiton knowing that I could get some help from my friend Lee who will also be there. Thinking that it would be a good idea to get started, I borrowed bobbins and pillow from one of our lacemakers here and I've been working up a storm :) I have a few other projects on stashed pillows and have prepared the #3 pattern in Lia B J's book, ready to work on it at Lace Camp as well. There are usually about 40 of us at Camp in Gore Bay on Manitoulin Island - a wonderful week of sharing our love of lace! Happy lacing to you all this summer! Jane in sunny but cool Sault Ste.
